Two more area golfers shot a hole-in-one in recent play.

Scott Brooker aced the #11 hole at Martindale Country Club in Auburn. Witnesses were Dale Brown, Rich Trembley and Phil Nadeau.

Bruce Thompson of Norway Country Club scored a hole-in-one while competing in the Central Maine Senior Golf Association tourney at Brunswick July 22. He aced the No. 5 hole, 99-yards, using a pitching wedge.

PARIS – The 23rd annual Maine Open Pee Wee Championship Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, August 7 at Paris Hill Country Club. Boys and girls ages 11-13 will be playing 18 holes. Those 10-under will play 9. All players need to bring an adult caddie. Entry fee is $10 with proceeds to benefit Camp Sunshine.
