RUMFORD – Rebecca Rotford was hired as the new chamber administrator by the River Valley Chamber of Commerce on July 7.

Rotford graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in religion from the University of Maine at Farmington. While attending the university she became a member of Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society. She also completed an internship at the Maine Historical Society in Portland.

After graduating in 2003, Rotford accepted a position at Oxford Federal Credit Union where she had worked summers during college.

She is originally from the Rumford area and currently resides in Andover.
