AUBURN – Flora R. Brown, 85, of 7 Benson Court, Mechanic Falls, died early Sunday morning, July 31, at Clover Health Care Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Mechanic Falls on Feb. 27, 1920, the daughter of Perley and Ona Morse Ridley. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1938.

She was married to Maurice H. Brown, who died Sept. 14, 1996.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, and enjoyed crocheting and doing puzzle books.

She is survived by a brother, Floyd Ridley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Beatrice Black and Methyl Reynolds; and a brother, Delwin Ridley, all of Mechanic Falls.
