WEST PARIS – Ring McKeen Post 151, American Legion, and Auxiliary held installation of officers preceded by a buffet supper at the Finnish-American Hall, Maple Street.

Auxiliary officers are as follows: president, Evanna Grover; first vice president, Diane Rainey; second vice president, Pat Breame; secretary, Charmaine Penley; treasurer, Cleo Ryerson; co-historians, Cleo Ryerson and Elsie Haynes; chaplain, Bertha DeHaas; sergeant-at-arms, Jackie Stevens; and past president, Dorene Wilbur.

The installing officer was Eliane Rogers of Stone Smart Post 82 of Norway, assisted by Ethel Lacourse, a 56-year member of Anderson-Staples 112 Auxiliary of Oxford.

Legion officers are as follows: post commander, Delwin Wilson; first vice commander, Albert Penley Jr.; finance officer, Delwin Wilson; adjutant, Wade Rainey; chaplain, Harold Wilbur; sergeant-at-arms, Dwayne Ryerson. Installing officer was Stan Martel of Phillips, assisted by Norm Simoneau.

Cleo Ryerson presented a gift certificate to Dorene Wilbur as outgoing president. Delwin Wilson presented Albert Penley Jr. with a 49-year Legion membership card.

Ring McKeen Post 151 received Jonathan J. Stevens and Shaun Coffin of West Paris into membership. Cleo Ryerson also thanked Bertha DeHaas for organizing the Memorial Day parades each year.

The County Council cookout will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Veterans Home, High Street, South Paris. Legionnaires will do the cooking and the Auxiliary will bring the salads.
