TURNER – The summer session for SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education of Greene, Leeds and Turner offers the following classes from Aug. 1 to 18.

Basic Garden Design: a three-evening class that will show what makes a garden pleasing and how to achieve it. Participants will also learn how to deal with weeds, pests and flower bed renovation. Participants should bring gloves as there will be some hands-on experience. The class will be held at Sunny Side Gardens, North Parish Road.

Major League Soccer Camp: the week-long camp is for boys and girls ages 5 through 18. Male and female coaches are licensed and trained in first aid. Many of them are from the British Isles. All campers receive a personal camp evaluation, MLS ball and T-shirt.

Junior Field Hockey: learn about field hockey and the skills of the game or work on improving skills and knowledge of the game. The coach will use the U.S. Field Hockey National Curriculum for skill teaching and progression. Each player will receive a T-shirt. Bring shin guards, mouth pieces, water bottles and a light snack.

Driver Education: the class will consist of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of driving. Students must be at least 15 on the first day of class and bring original birth certificate and Social Security card.
