HUDSON, Fla. – Anita C. Houle, 87, of Hudson, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 2, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston, March 9, 1918, the daughter of Olivier and Lena (Bonneau) Poirier, and moved to Florida from Sabattus in 1980.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson, Fla.

She was the widow of Lucien J. Houle, whom she married on Nov. 11, 1939; he died on April 26, 2004.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Houle and his wife, Bonnie, of Hudson, Fla., and Lucien R. Houle and his wife, Mirielle, of Poland Spring; two daughters, Anita Schrom and her husband, Bill, of Elko, Nev., and Rachel Houle of Hudson, Fla.; two brothers, George Poirier and Lionel Poirier, both of Lewiston; four sisters, Marie Bouderon, Catherine Bergeron and Celica Rodrigue, all of Lewiston, and Lena Lapointe of Old Orchard Beach; eight grandchildren, Roger Houle of Michigan, Carmen Hamling of West Virginia, Paul and Marcel Houle of Lewiston, Daniel Houle of Poland Spring and Steve Houle, Bobby Houle and Michael Fournier, all of Florida; and 10 great-grandchildren.
