LEWISTON – An organizational meeting of the Lewiston Rec Fall Softball League is scheduled for Monday, August 15 at 5:30 p.m. at Randall Road-3 Field. Representatives of interested teams should be in attendance.

Benefit tourney slated

AUBURN – A 1-pitch benefit softball tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 20 at Lakeview fields. Proceeds will benefit the Friend’s Lodge team of Lewiston, a club that finished second in the State Modified Tournament and has qualified for the nationals Labor Day Weekend. Entry fee for the double-elimination 1-pitch tourney is $125. More information is available by contacting Mike Childs at 786-2076.

Girls’ title game set

MECHANIC FALLS – It’ll be the Paris Lightning and Oxford meeting in Saturday’s 2 p.m. championship game in the Farm Team Softball League.

In playoff action last weekend, Paris, 11-1 during the regular season, won both games to claim the North Division title over Sumner, Paris I and West Paris. The Lightning are coached by Mike West.

Oxford, coached by Scott Owens, took the South Division crown.
