LEWISTON – Stephana Rose Bednarczyk, 82, of Bayberry Lane, died Thursday, Aug. 4, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston, June 4, 1923, the daughter of Mikolaj and Katherine (Sakowska) Klimek. She was educated in the local schools, attended the Auburn School of Commerce and was married on May 23, 1953, to Frank J. Bednarczyk of Philadelphia, Pa.

She was employed at the Bates Mill office, prior to her marriage, then at the Cuneo Eastern Press Co., in Philadelphia.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and served as a Eucharistic minister. She was a Rosary Sodality member and a St. Vincent de Paul worker. She was a former member of the YWCA and held offices in the Polish Woman’s Club in Lewiston.

Survivors include her husband, Frank, of Lewiston; two sons, Tom and wife, Gina, of Auburn, and Daniel of Newton, Mass.; a sister, Helen Stelmok of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents.
