L/A Trails to hold trail walk

AUBURN – L/A Trails will host a trail treasure walk at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at Mount Apatite Park. It will begin at Mount Apatite Farm, 171 Hatch Road.

Susan Hayward of Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary will lead the walk to search for nature’s treasures. There will be items to find along the trail, such as sage grass and insects. People will work together in teams to complete the lists. Perham’s of West Paris has donated prizes for the treasure-hunters.

People are invited to come early and have pancakes for breakfast at 9 a.m. There will be no charge, but organizers say donations would be appreciated.
