OXFORD – The parents of Kristie Lee Cummings and Shawn Patrick Holbrook would like to announce the couple’s engagement.

Miss Cummings is the daughter of Chris and Cindy Cummings of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1997 and from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2001 with a degree in elementary education. She teaches seventh grade English at Oxford Hills Middle School.

Mr. Holbrook is the son of Dan and Laura Holbrook of South Paris. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1996 and attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass., majoring in business. He owns his own business, Imports Plus, in Auburn.

An Oct. 2 wedding has been planned.
