LEWISTON – Richard Frederick Delson and Jane Marston, both of Studio City, Calif., have recently announced their engagement and plans for a late summer wedding.

Mr. Delson, son of the late Harold M. Delson and Pearl Harnick, (originally of Russia and Rumania, respectively) and a native of Brighton Beach, N.Y., is a widely recognized senior public relations executive in the Los Angeles film industry, where he is principal of Dick Delson and Associates (North Hollywood), a full-service PR and marketing agency he founded in 1984. In 2003 he was a recipient of the prestigious Golden Satellite Award from the International Press Academy for Outstanding Service to the Entertainment Industry. He is a 1958 graduate of New York University School of Journalism and also holds a master’s degree in political science from NYU.

Ms. Marston, widow of the the late Donald Pike Marston, is a native of Maine and the daughter of Muriel G. Pendexter of Lewiston and the late Faunce Pendexter. Ms. Marston, who is now a partner in her fiance’s public relations agency, was most recently associated with Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine (Portland), where she served for almost seven years as director of corporate communications. An accomplished classical horsewoman, Ms. Marston owns a Lipizzaner gelding and for many years provided PR assistance to the late Col. Ottomar Herrmann and his nationally touring performance Lipizzaner stallions. She is a 1972 graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, where she received her degree in government.

The couple will be married on Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at “Spumante Ristorante” in Studio City. Rabbi Mark Sobel (Temple Beth Emet, Burbank, Calif.) will officiate at the interfaith marriage.
