LEWISTON – Gilles J. Perreault, 56, of East Avenue, died Sunday, Aug., 7, after a brief illness, at Central Maine Medical Center.
Born in Lewiston, July 20, 1949, the son of Edgar and Lucille (Desjardins) Perreault, he was educated in Lewiston and was a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School, Class of 1968.
In his early years, he bartended at local restaurants. He then did private professional bartending at catered events. He was currently employed for L.L. Bean in the Portland office.
On Nov. 11, 1973, he married the former Suzanne Ouellette, who survives him of Lewiston. He also leaves his mother of Lewiston; one son, Eric M. and his wife, Cheryl, of Deltona, Fla.; one daughter, Melanie L. of Leicester, Mass.; two sisters, Priscille and her husband, Michael Parrott, of Lewiston, and Lisa Grant of Wales; two brothers, Roger and his wife, Belen, and Daniel and his wife, Veronica, all of Lewiston; and two grandchildren Kelsea and Ethan of Deltona, Fla.
He was predeceased by his father, Edgar Perreault.
