NORWAY – Eva L. Newcomb, 77, of South Paris, died Friday, Aug. 5, at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born in Sweden, on Oct. 9, 1927, the daughter of Clayton and Christine Fox Tower. She attended schools in Sweden.

She had been employed at the heel factory in North Conway, N.H., the woolen mill in Bridgton and at Hillcrest Farms in Lewiston.

She married Delmar Newcomb Sr., in 1946; he passed away in 1977.

She enjoyed needlework and crafts.

She is survived by three sons, Vance Lee Newcomb and his wife, Velma, of South Paris, Guy Edward Newcomb and his wife, Barbara, of Rockland, and Delmar Newcomb Jr., and his wife, Adelle, of Bucksport; two daughters, Kathy Wotton and her husband, Lance, of Friendship, and Rita Grant and her husband, Warren, of LaBelle, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Alice Brown of Sweden, Thelma Dadmun of E. Stoneham, Edith Kimball of South Waterford, Jan Whittier of South Waterford and Irene Tower of Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.
