Gardiner – Christopher Paszyc, 31, director of planning and development for the city of Gardiner for the past five years, will be leaving Oct. 1 to join CBRE/The Boulos Co., a commercial real estate brokerage and management company.

Recruited as a commercial real estate broker, Paszyc will concentrate on the Lewiston/Auburn and Augusta/Waterville commercial real estate markets.

Paszyc will work on a team with Craig Young and Greg Boulos, partners in CBRE/The Boulos Co..

Paszyc holds a bachelor of arts and masters degree in public administration from the University of Maine and an active Maine real estate license. In addition to his five years at the city of Gardiner, he has also been the town manager of Madison and Fayette and served in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry (Reserve).

His wife, the former Deborah Brackett of Hallowell, is the co-owner of the Augusta area Dairy Queen franchises. They have two daughters, Alexis, 5, and Lily, 2.

Sen. Edmonds to present at forum

AUBURN – State Sen. Beth Edmonds, Senate president and current chairwoman of the Labor Committee, will speak about Maine’s legislative process and the hot issues Maine lawmakers will be dealing with at a breakfast for human resource professionals.

The Senior HR Roundtable Forum, a focus group of human resource professionals hosted by Drake Inglesi Milardo Inc. a Portland-based human resources consulting firm, will offer a complimentary breakfast session from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Hilton Garden Inn.
