I think it’s time for a national, picture ID system – with photo, fingerprint and Social Security number on one card to serve as passport, driver’s license, voter ID and anything else where identification is required.

I don’t feel it would be an invasion of my privacy.

The only people who would have real reason to protest such a card are the 11 million or so illegal aliens who currently reside in relative obscurity in this country. Perhaps some businesses would protest; they would have to hire and pay legal citizens.

I also think many more public cameras would help deter terrorists from trying to destroy our peace and quiet. They could be caught before any harm was done. That doesn’t invade my privacy.

I think airlines and train stations that search carry-on bags should pay much more attention to the nationality of the person being searched. Grandma didn’t blow up the towers in New York; men from the Middle East did.

I also believe that anyone preaching “kill the Jews” or “kill Americans” should be jailed as a terrorist or deported.

Muslims who immigrate to this country should be prepared to become Americans and respect America. There is a big difference between free speech and hate speech, something many of our more liberal politicians could learn also.
