PORTLAND (AP) – Scott Youngbauer cracked a two-run triple among his three hits Thursday, leading the Portland Sea Dogs to a 3-2 win over the Norwich Navigators.

Portland (64-53) starter Jon Lester (9-5) threw six innings, allowing three hits and two runs, one earned, walking two while striking out eight.

The Sea Dogs grabbed a 3-0 lead in the third inning, when Jim Buckley led off with a double, then with one out, moved to third on Chris Durbin’s single.

Youngbauer then tripled both home and scored himself on an error by Norwich (56-62) shortstop Jamie Athas.

The Navigators plated their two scores in the fourth, as Randy Walter homered, and Julio Cordido reached on an error and later scored on Steve Holm’s hit.

Norwich’s Anthony Moreno (0-2) pitched five innings, surrendering three runs, while Portland’s Craig Hansen logged his first save.
