HORSEHEADS, N.Y. – Dorothy S. Leclerc, 96, originally from Lewiston, died in Horseheads, N.Y., on July 22. She had recently moved to New York with her daughter and son-in-law, to be closer to her granddaughter and great-grandsons.
Born in Lewiston, July 12, 1909, she was the daughter of William Cloutier and Emma Fournier Cloutier. She was educated in local schools and worked as a seamstress.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting and needlepoint. In her later years, her special thrill was to push her great-grandsons down the hall on her walker.
She is survived by her daughter, Irene Legendre and husband, Robert; granddaughter, Diane Legendre and husband, James Webb; and two great-grandsons, Luke and Nathan Webb.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fernand J. Leclerc; sister, Mary Cloutier Pelletier; and brother, Joseph Cloutier.
