Seniors trip
LEWISTON – The Meadowview Seniors are sponsoring a trip to Indian Head Resort, N.H., on Friday Nov. 18. Included in the package is transportation by bus, luncheon buffet, reception, Christmas party with Santa and a free gift, free photo, floor show and dance band, gift shop, games on the way up and on the way back, for $50 a person.
Every year the seats in the bus are sold out, so anyone interested should contact and make payment to Bert Dutil. Checks should be made out to Meadowview Council and sent to 454 Meadowview Park, Lewiston, Me 04240. For more information, call Dutil at 786-2305.
Dance lessons
LEWISTON – Irish ceili and set dance classes will be held Sept. 12, 19, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, Nov. 7 and 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Church Hall, 3 Walnut St. Fee is $3 a class. No experience is necessary. For more information, call 933-9761.
80th birthday
SABATTUS – A surprise party was held at the home of Gerry and Linda Duguay of Sabattus for Duguay’s mother, Josephine Duguay, of 75 Vickery Road, Auburn, on Aug. 13 to celebrate her 80th birthday.
Attending were all of her children, Francis Duguay and his wife, Lorraine; Philip Duguay and his wife, Carmen; Sue Vachon; Cathy Carney and her husband, Tom; George Duguay and his wife, Cindy; and Patricia Springer.
Also attending were some of her grandchildren, Melissa Gauthier and Bill Arnold, Gerry Duguay Jr. and Shauna Neece, Scott Duguay and his wife, Amy, Cortney Springer, Britney Springer, Rusty Duguay, Wendy Carney, Angela Carney, Kathy McNally and friend, Keith, Greg Duguay and friend, Angie. Great-grandchildren attending were Cassie Gauthier, Matt Arnold, Haley and Tyler Duguay, Rachel Duguay, Jordan Norwood and Alivia Conway. Also attending was Elaine Nash.
The setting was a back yard cookout. Duguay received many cards and gifts.
Bridge winners
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Aug. 15 were: N/S, first, Betty and Doug Sise; second, Cynthia Bonsey and Janice Wolfe; third, Lucille Bilodeau and Nancy Farmer.
E/W, first, Barbara and Bill Whitman; second, Mimi Bell and Les Buzzell; third, Helen Little and Alberta Turner; second in B, Linda Leotsakos and Nancy Glusker.
