Aside from a complaint filed by a Lisbon man “some time ago” about a verbal altercation started in a restaurant by Daniel Roberts, Sabattus Police Chief Thomas P. Fales Jr. said Wednesday his department shows no other incidents involving Roberts.

Fales said his department had the following records related to the Monday morning shooting of Melissa Mendoza by Roberts.

• June 16: Sabattus police are informed that Mendoza has obtained a protection-from-abuse order against Roberts.

• July 18: Roberts tells Sabattus police that he’s going to California to retrieve his daughter and asks that local police provide police in California with information regarding his shared custody of Savanna, a 2-year-old he fathered with Mendoza. According to court records, Roberts was supposed to have custody of the child at the time.

• Aug. 9: Sabattus police receive notice that Mendoza has been granted a temporary protection-from-abuse order against Roberts.

• Aug. 10: Sabattus police receive notice of an amended temporary protection-of-abuse order on behalf of Mendoza against Roberts with a hearing date of Aug. 26.

• Aug. 10: Mendoza visits Sabattus police to inform them that she’ll be having a supervised weekend visit with her daughter at Roberts’ home at 81 Roberts Road over the weekend of Aug. 13-14, leaving by early Monday morning, Aug. 15. Roberts is not to be at the house, she tells police, adding that she’ll leave a gate guarding the driveway to the house open for emergency access.

• Aug. 12: Roberts tells Sabattus police that Mendoza will be staying at his Roberts Road home over the coming weekend for a supervised visit with their daughter. He says he won’t be there.

• Aug. 15: Shortly before 1:30 a.m., Androscoggin County dispatch informs Sabattus police that Roberts has called 911 to report a shooting at the house. The victim, Melissa Mendoza, was dead.
