This may not be an earth-shaking letter, but I hope it will make a difference to motorists who travel in our fair Lewiston-Auburn. It’s something I’ve been wanting to mention before the summer is over. Has anyone noticed the beautiful flower bed when driving by the county courthouse on Turner Street in Auburn? The colorful display is a welcoming sight. A thank you is in order for the caretakers who do such a wonderful job of keeping it up.

And if driving in Lewiston, be sure to go by the little triangle of a park on the corner of Bartlett and East Avenue. There is quite a display of summer blossoms. Somebody has to be proud of his or her job to give this little gem some TLC. My compliments for that also.

A little beauty sometimes can make your day.
