The Maine State Lottery Commission should consider disciplining its market manager for failing to intervene in the sale of 33 “million dollar drawing” tickets after the sales deadline, Attorney General Richard S. Cohen said Friday.

None of the 33 tickets, sold at Old Orchard Beach on July 17th, but intended to be sold between April and June, won the $1 million prize and none of the three lottery employees involved benefited from the sale, Cohen said in an opinion delivered to Lottery Director Richard “Spine” Carey.
