MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) – A man was found shot to death in a car Tuesday morning, police said.

Gregorio Diaz, 39, of Meriden, was in the driver’s seat of a car parked on Franklin Street. He was shot in his upper right torso and leg, police said.

Neighbors called 911 just before 8 a.m. to report gunshots.

A witness saw a gray BMW with tinted windows leaving the scene.

Other details were not available. No arrests were made Tuesday.

State police were helping Meriden authorities in the investigation.
