LEWISTON – The youth track team, sponsored by the Lewiston Recreation Department, recently completed a fine season.

Kevin Russell directed the program, assisted by John Gagnon and Sam Fletcher. Other staff members included Matt Bouchard, Erika Caron, Rebekah Choate, Matt Cyr, George Foster, Nate Gosselin, Jason Robustelli, Kurt Thibeault.

Lewiston athletes performed well at the Maine-USA Track and Field Championship, as follows:

8-Under Girls, Karlye Baker, 6th relay and shot; Angela Poulin, 6th relay; Adrianna White, 4th 800m, 6th relay, 9th long jump; Tawni Zamrock, 6th relay. 8-Under Boys: Ryan Delcourt, 1st relay, 8th 100m; Lucas Rushton, 1st relay; 9th javelin, 7th shot; Hunter Russell, 1st relay, 10th 400m, 11th javelin; Ben Trytek, 1st relay, 6th shot; Kyle Zamrock, 13th long jump. 9-10 Girls: Katie Mae Bosse, 7th coed relay; 10th shot, 14th javelin. 9-10 boys: Tristan Bussiere, 14th 900m, 15th zoom, 23rd 100m; Thomas Choate, 13th 100m; 17th, long jump; Isaiah Harris, 3rd 800m, 6th 400m, 7th coed relay; Joshua Poulin, 7th coed relay, 13th high jump, 16th long jump; Spencer Simoneau, 10th shot and javelin. 11-12 Girls: Mary Caron, 6th javelin, 16th shot, 20th 100m. 11-12 Boys: Joseph Bosse, 8th 800m, 10th 200m; Joey Trytek, 11th 100m. 13-14 Girls: Ruth Choate, 8th 400m; 8th TJ, 9th long jump, 11th hurdles; Lea Morin, 5th 100m and long jump, 8th 200m. 13-14 Boys: Chris Paine, 3rd discus, 16th javelin. 11-12 Boys: Jonathan Soucy, 6th 3000m, 9th 1500m.
