The following USM students received awards at the annual 2005 Recognition Day ceremonies this spring.
Robyn L. Dumont of Auburn, a social and behavioral sciences major, has been awarded the Mechanics Savings Bank Scholarship. She is married to Jeffrey Dumont and has two children, Jeremy and Dustin.
Alyson R. Farrington of Auburn, an applied immunology and molecular biology major has been awarded the School of Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology Outstanding Student award for Applied Medical Science. She is a 1999 graduate of Edward Little High School. She is the daughter of Robert and Diana Pontbriand and resides with her husband Craig Farrington, in Auburn.
Carla J. Gill of Auburn, a social and behavioral sciences major, has been awarded the Betty D. Robinson Scholarship. She graduated high school in 1981 and lives with her family in Auburn.
Cheryl Ann Robert of Auburn, a social and behavioral sciences major, has been awarded the Dr. Harlan Philippi Memorial Scholarship. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1987 and is the daughter of Norm and Coreen Robert.
Misty Laura Atkinson of Avon, a social and behavioral sciences major, has been awarded the Lewiston-Auburn College Scholarship and the Dorothea J. Vlahakos Memorial Scholarship. She is a 1996 graduate of Mt. Abram High School and the daughter of Betty and Dennis Atkinson of Phillips.
Mark Bray of Bowdoinham, a computer science major, has been awarded the School of Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology Outstanding Student Award for Computer Science. He is a graduate of Freeport High School and is the son of Steve and Kathy Bray of Bowdoinham.
Rhonda Marie Clukey of Greene, a social and behavioral sciences and leadership and organizational studies major, has been awarded the Lewiston-Auburn College Scholarship. She is a 1987 graduate of Lewiston High School and is the daughter of Barbara and Freeland Witham.
Bobbi Cook of Greene, a natural and applied science major, has been awarded the NiSource Charitable Foundation Scholarship. She graduated from Leavitt High School in 1995 and is the daughter of Robert Cook of Wintrop and Dawna Cook of Greene.
Hassan Alew of Lewiston, a nursing major, has been awarded the Mechanics Savings Bank Scholarship. He graduated from high school in 1992 and is married to Timira Issack.
Angelia M. Marchus of Lewiston, a social and behavioral sciences major, has been awarded the Lewiston-Auburn College Student Scholarship and the Portland Junior College Scholarship. She is a 1989 graduate of Brunswick High School and is married to Michael G. Marchus of Lewiston.
Joseph Hodsdon of Livermore, a computer science major, has been awarded the Governor’s Computer Science Scholarship. He is a 1998 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and a 2000 graduate of Central Maine Community College. He is the son of James and Anita Hodsdon of Livermore.
Lori Louise Royer of Lovell, a business administration major, has been awarded the Dean John W. Bay Scholarship and the International Exchange Scholarship for Study Abroad. She is a 2003 graduate of Fryeburg Academy and the daughter of Gene and Vicki Royer of Lovell.
Mark Edwin Royer of Lovell, a computer science major, has been awarded the Governor’s Computer Science Scholarship. He is a 1998 graduate of Fryeburg Academy and is the son of Gene and Vicki Royer of Lovell.
Bonnie September Jones of Norway, a nursing major, has been awarded the Mabel Skillin Nursing Scholarship. She is a graduate of Oxford Hills High School and the daughter of Sally Jones of Norway and Ronald Jones of Waldoboro.
Wendy Carter of Pownal, an Environmental Science and Policy major, has been awarded the NiSource Charitable Foundation Scholarship. She is a 1988 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School and the daughter of Bill and Linda Ward of Steep Falls and is married to Paul Carter of Pownal.
Alan C. Simmons of Raymond, an industrial technology major, has been awarded the Richard H. Carter Technology Scholarship. He is 2002 graduate of Westbrook High School and the son of Gary and Anne Simmons of Raymond.
Cody Wall of South Paris, an industrial technology major, has been awarded the Clifford A. Parsons Scholarship. He is a 2002 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and the son of Douglas and Mary Wall of South Paris.
