LEWISTON – Roger J. Beaulieu, 84, of 17 Mount Hope Ave., died Friday, Aug. 26, in the Transitional Life Care Unit at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

He was born in Ste. Helene de Kamouraska, P.Q. Canada, on Jan. 27, 1921, the son of Napoleon and Amanda Belanger Beaulieu. He was educated in Lewiston schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1943.

He was employed at Bates Manufacturing Co. from 1945 until 1983, and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish.

He enjoyed feeding birds in the city park.

He is survived by two sisters, Therese Doyon of Manchester, Conn., and Laura Bosse of Lewiston; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his four wives, Cecile Lagasse, Armande Dutil, Lumina Fournier and Laurette Pomerleau; three sisters, Lucienne Lapointe, Marie Anne St. Pierre and Simone Beaulieu; four brothers, Gerard, Leon, Arthur and Emile; and a companion, Annette L. Turgeon in 2003.
