Bridge results
RUMFORD – Results from the Rumford Duplicate Bridge Club for Aug. 25 games are: first, Anna Cormier and Woody Mercier; second, Donna and Ozzie Swett; third, tie between Paula Humbert and Clara Roy, and Bill and Jean Hersey.
The next meeting starts with a pizza party at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, with games following at 7 p.m.
Museum tours
RUMFORD – The Rumford Historical Society Museum, the Lufkin School in Rumford Center, will be open only one more Saturday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Someone from the society will serve as guides. This is the last day the museum will be open this summer except by special appointment. For more information call 364-4007.
Buotte reunion
ROXBURY POND – The Buotte family reunion was held at the home of Bruce and Lynette Waugh, Roxbury Pond, on Aug. 20. A potluck lunch was enjoyed.
Officers being elected were: president, Lorie Buotte; and secretary-treasurer, Lisette Waugh. Committee members are Robert Buotte, Steve Buotte, Eugene Buotte, Michelle Clark and Nina Langervine.
Oldest member in attendance was Robert Kellogg, Rumford, and youngest being Dennis John Buotte, Mexico.
Winner of half and half was Diane Doucette, Boothbay. Cribbage winner was Ashley Hanmer, Dixfield. Horseshoes tournament was won by Andy Gamez, Rumford; and Ernie Cloutier, Dixfield.
Traveling the furthest was Dawn White of Blaine, Wash.
Guests attended from Jacksonville, Fla.; Hopewell Jct.; Blaine, Wash; Voluntown. Conn.; New Port Richey, Fla.; Mexico, Rumford, Dixfield Turner, Auburn, Skowhegan, Avon, Anson, Wayne, Clinton and Boothbay.
The activities were capped off with Karaoke with Bill and Betsy Lynn of Wayne.
