LEWISTON – Therese Begin, 80, of Auburn, died Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Landshut, Germany, Feb. 15, 1925, the daughter of Johann and Therese Heinrich Treitinger. She was educated in German schools.

On Sept. 14, 1968, she married Robert E. Begin, who predeceased on her June 6 of this year.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Bates Manufacturing Co. and was a member of the VFW Post No. 1603 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed music, flowers, and dining out, but mostly enjoyed her family life.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Parent and her husband, Michael, of Lewiston; two sons, Jim Morin of Lisbon, and John Morin and his companion, Tammy Johnson, of Auburn; three sisters, Anna Goodwin of Columbia, Ga., and Maria and Erna, both of Germany; four grandchildren, Linda, Chad, Jacob and Jeremy Morin; and a great-granddaughter, Casey.
