LEWISTON – Laura Martel netted all four goals to lead Lewiston to a 4-0 victory over Leavitt in a girls’ soccer season opener on Saturday.

Kaitlyn Pike had an assist for the Blue Devils. Lewiston’s Katie Cobb stopped all 11 shots she faced. Emily Page had 14 saves for Leavitt.

Dirigo 4, Boothbay 0

BOOTHBAY HARBOR – Melissa Harvey scored the first two goals of the game to propel Dirigo to a 4-0 win against Boothbay in a girls’ soccer matchup on Saturday.

Dirigo’s Shannon Daley and Brianna Elliot added a goal apiece in the second half. Dirigo outshot Boothbay 35 to five.

Winslow 7, Oak Hill 0

WINSLOW – Meryl McLellan scored a hat trick in the first half to propel Winslow to a 7-0 victory over Oak Hill in girls’ soccer on Saturday.

Winslow’s Katie Karen chipped in with two goals and an assist.

Kathy Sirous and Liz Cheesman also scored. Hannah Brazier only needed one save to earn the shutout for the Black Raiders.

Mt. Abram 4, Hall-Dale 0

SALEM – Morgan Cummings scored a pair of first-half goals to send Mt. Abram to a 4-0 victory over Hall-Dale in girls’ soccer on Saturday.

Jennifer Thomas and Logahn Walker added insurance goals in the second half for the Roadrunners.

Briana Wilkins made just one save in net for the win. Chelsey Dionne stopped 10 shots for Hall-Dale.

Field hockey

Skowhegan 4, Oxf. Hills 0

SOUTH PARIS – Samantha Giffort tallied a game-high two goals to carry Skowhegan to a 4-0 victory over Oxford Hills in a field hockey contest on Saturday.

Courtney Cennitte and Zara Saydjary each scored once for Skowhegan. Aleksys Pike made 13 saves in net for the Vikings. Skowhegan had 15 penalty corners in the game.

Boys’ soccer

Mt. Ararat 3, EL 0

TOPSHAM – Matt Snyder found the back of the net on a pass from Noah Greenlaw to lead Mt. Ararat to a 3-0 victory over Edward Little in boys’ soccer on Saturday.

Ted Bosmus and Russ Bouchard also chipped in a goal apiece for the Eagles and Greenlaw finished with two assists. Freshman goalkeeper Josh Mains was credited with 11 saves for Edward Little.

St. Dom’s 1, Sacopee Val. 1

SOUTH HIRAM – St. Dom’s and Sacopee battled to a 1-1 deadlock in their season-opening WMC boys’ soccer game on Saturday. Pete Lewis scored for the Saints in the 14th minute of the first half. The Hawks tied the game in the second half on Jesse Miller’s boot.

Austin Fuller stopped five shots for St. Dom’s.

Lisbon 2, Jay 1

JAY – Payton Austin and Nate Osmond both tallied goals as Lisbon opened the Mountain Valley Conference season with a 2-1 win over Jay.

Mike Wilkins had eight saves for the Greyhounds. Ben Harvell scored Jay’s goal, while Matt Roundy stopped 10 shots in net for the Tigers.
