LEWISTON – Leon “Sonny” Morris III, 64, of Lewiston, passed away on Friday, Sept. 2, at St. Mary’s Hospital following complications with pneumonia.

He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 14, 1941, the son of Leon Morris Jr., and Shirley (Graffam) Morris.

He enjoyed flea markets and Foxwoods Casino.

He was a painter, working under Glen Horsmer.

Sonny is survived by long-term mate, Jo-Ann Staires, of Auburn; sisters, Carol and husband, Edward Chartier, of Lewiston, Ida Morris of Lewiston, and Diane Reno and her husband, Lawrence, of West Bath; brother, Ronald Morris of Windham; son, Michael Morris of Kentucky; daughter, Michelle Meunier Rodrique of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Morris, and his father, Leon Morris Jr.
