LEWISTON – Daniel D. Vaillancourt, 52, of 143 Summer St., died Thursday, Sept. 8, at Central Maine Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday.

He was born in Lewiston on April 6, 1953, the son of Gerard and Rosella Cormier Vaillancourt. He was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Roberta M. Roy in 1981.

He was employed by his brother-in-law, Bruce Roy, as a salesman at Empire Auto Sales.

He is survived by his wife of Lewiston; two daughters, Melanie Vaillancourt of Auburn, and Crystal Dyer and her husband, Nick, of Brunswick; a son, Jeff Vaillancourt of Alexandria, Va.; two stepsons, Brian Caouette, and Raymond Caouette and his wife, Chrissy, all of Lewiston; his father and stepmother, Gerard and Alice Vaillancourt of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Courtney Caouette, Jonathan Vaillancourt, Alec Treadwell, and Austin and Andrew Dyer; two sisters, Sylvia Raymond of Sabattus and Dean MacLaren of Wiscasset; four brothers, Pat of Wales, Mike and his wife, Kathy, of Georgetown, Roger and his wife, Cathy, of Lewiston, and Duane and his companion, Debbie Jordan, of Lewiston; his father-in-law, Noel Roy of Litchfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother.
