LEWISTON – Delores S. Plourde, 67, of 122 South Ave., Lewiston, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 7, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 5, 1937, the daughter of Arthur and Cedelice (Dufour) Plourde. She graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1956.

Upon graduation, she moved to Boston and worked for John Hancock Insurance Co. for 28 years. She returned to Lewiston after her retirement and was a member of Holy Cross Church.

She was an avid Red Sox fan, who loved reading, shopping and traveling. Her laughter was contagious and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends as well as her cat, “Minew.”

She is survived by six sisters, Aurora Cornish, Marie Longley and Rolande Lachance, all of Lewiston, Anita Willis of Idaho, Dot Barnhard of Wales and Germaine Mason of New York; six brothers, Roger, Richard and Maurice, all of Lewiston, Raymond of Dryden, N.Y., Florian of Monmouth and Gerard of Dewey, Ariz.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Janet Melley; and three brothers, Marcel, Lucien and Fernand.
