LEWISTON – Madeline Elizabeth Gee, 88, died in Lewiston on Thursday, Sept. 8.

She was born in Wellington on Feb. 15, 1917, the daughter of Gustavius and Madeline Carr Jenkins. Most of her life was spent in Harmony.

She was employed many years at Bartlett Yarns and local shoe manufacturers.

She enjoyed family – especially babies – reading, crossword puzzles and baseball (the Yankees and the Red Sox). She was affectionately known as “Gram” to all.

She is survived by a son, William C. Gee and wife, Sherri, of Minot; a daughter, Mary Tripp and husband, Donald, of North Anson; three grandchildren, Carol Gee Marcoux of South Portland, James Walker of Chelsea and Janelle Silvia of Franklin, Mass.; two great-granddaughters; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased in 1983 by her husband, William A. Gee.
