NORWAY- Eileen (Gammon) Russon, 85, of Norway, died Friday, Sept. 9, at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Norway on April 27, 1920, the daughter of Urshal “Tim” Gammon and Elizabeth (Drew) Gammon.

Mrs. Russon worked at her family store in Norway and in her later years had worked at Norway Hospital and also had worked at a hospital in Waltham, Mass.

She was a member of the Norway Historical Society, the Oxford County Extension Program, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was interested in world affairs, and just enjoyed people and making new friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol and her husband, Michael Haley, of Auburn, and Betty and her husband, Bill Jordan, of Greenwood; a son, Douglas Mawhinney and his wife, Donna, of Norway; a sister, Mary Cadorette of North Carolina; two brothers, Alan Gammon and wife, Phyllis, of Marcellus, N.Y., and Richard Gammon and his wife, Judy, of Spokane, Wa.; 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Corri, Rhonda, Michele, Michael, Leslie, Kyle, Tim, Robyn and Chris; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Sherrill DeLucia; and a brother, Urshal N. Gammon.
