It seems the whole world is trying to build nuclear power plants, thus becoming less dependent on oil to fire up generators to make power. Even Third World countries want their electricity furnished by nuclear power plants.

So, what happens in Maine, they, who ever that is, do just the opposite by discontinuing and tearing down the nuclear power plant located in Wiscasset. Thus, the power companies must now go back to other fuels to generate electricity.

You all know what that is going to mean. The power companies are going to ask for rate increases in the form of added fuel surcharges.

Maybe the state of Maine should be responsible for seeing to it that nuclear power is brought back to the state.

They say it is the people who are environmentalist that are anti-nuclear power. Have them explain to the working-class people how to save money by not having nuclear power, like the rest of the world.
