The price of gas has escalated, not only in record amounts, but in record time. Aside from being completely outraged, I was also very confused as to why our government is allowing this to happen.

Even after writing my representatives, and I use that word loosely, and getting no response, it continued to perplex me as to why a government for the people will not allow its people to have access to health care, affordable medications, affordable heating and affordable travel anywhere, especially to work.

This nation is becoming the land of the rich, since it is only the wealthy who will be healthy, warm and mobile.

Our representatives will not have to prove that they are working for the special interest groups who will fund their campaigns since, at some point, the middle and lower classes will be obliterated or not able to drive to the polls to vote.

Congratulations to the oil companies and their stockholders. They are making billions at the expense of America, and have finally shown that the government is by the oil companies, for the oil companies and with the oil companies.
