In the “Encore” for Sept. 2, on the front page, was a photo of the Blue Angels. In the business section of the newspaper was an article about some gas stations running out of gasoline. So, how come the jets have enough fuel but the gas stations are running out of gas? Is it not foolishness to waste fuel for a show, flying around in the sky to flaunt one’s wealth?

I see what happened in New Orleans and all the trash left on the side of the road while people board buses. No common sense or pride in this country. I also see plenty of trash along the roadside here.
