LEWISTON – Carmen R. Caron, 78, of North Temple Street, died early Friday morning, Sept. 9, at d’Youville Pavilion where she had been a resident for the past four years.
She was born in Lewiston on April 24, 1927, a daughter of Odilon and Diana (Lessard) Nadeau. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.
She was married to Gaston Caron; he died in 1970.
She worked for many years in local shoe shops and was a member of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed playing beano in her free time and was also an avid fan of auto racing.
She leaves a sister, Constance Nadeau of Lewiston; a special niece, Sandra McGill; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Roland Nadeau, Lionel Nadeau and wife, Evelyn, and Roger Nadeau and wife, Mae.
