OXFORD – Michael C. Henderson, 52, of Oxford, died Monday, Sept. 12, at his home on Coldwater Brook Road in Oxford.

He was born in Lewiston, on Jan. 16, 1953, the son of Miriam Culbert Henderson and the late Richard Barker Henderson. He was raised in Nashua, N.H., where he was a member of the First Congregational Church.

He graduated from Nashua High School in 1971 and attended the University of New Hampshire. He moved to Maine in 1973, where he later became a master electrician and established his own business, Henderson Electric.

He was a member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Alison Henderson, of Oxford; a daughter, Mellissa and her husband, Jay Atkisson, of Norway; his mother, Miriam Henderson of Oxford; two sisters, Mary and her husband, Austin Taylor, of Portland, and Marsha Chagnon of Nashua, N.H.; a brother, Robert Henderson of Oxford; a grandson, Bryce Atkisson; stepchildren, Joshua Foster of Norway, and his girlfriend, Lisa Martin, and Libby Foster of South Paris; step-grandchildren, Sophie Foster and Grayson Foster; a niece, Rachel Taylor; and nephews, Christopher Henderson and Mark Henderson.

He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Charles E. Chagnon, earlier this year.
