AUBURN – Ernestine Dorothy Lauze, 79, of Pearl Street, Lewiston, passed away at Odd Fellows Home on Wednesday, Sept. 14, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lewiston on March 9, 1926, she was the daughter of George and Flora Murdock Clark.

On April 15, 1950, she married Harvey Lauze; he predeceased her on March 23, 1997.

She enjoyed going to concerts, dining out and rides with her family, and loved country-western music. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was gentle, kind and selfless, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by four sons, George Lauze of Lewiston, Peter and wife, Elissa Lauze, of Lewiston, Joe and wife, Sue Lauze, of Lewiston, and Mac Lauze of Lewiston; two daughters, Dot Lauze of Lewiston, and Evelyn Lauze and partner, Paul Cyr, of Greene; one sister, Evelyn and husband, Rudy Cormier, of Rochester, N.H.; nine grandchildren, Tammy and husband, Gary Allard, Katie Lauze, Abby Lauze, Amber Lauze, Sarah Lauze, Ashley Lauze, Mike Cournoyer, Matt Cournoyer and Sarah Cournoyer; and one great-grandson, Dustin Allard.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; eight brothers, Gerald, Harold, Percy, Ralph, Stanley, Hazen, Allen and Johnny; and two sisters, Millie and Alma.
