LEWISTON – Lena E. Pepin, 90, of 14 Cassell St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, where she lived since July.

She was born in St. Malachie, Quebec, on July 7, 1915, the daughter of Adelard and Eva (Martineau) Larochelle.

In 1944, she married Willie J. Pepin; he died on June 8, 1989.

She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lewiston.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Lawrence Yurko of Valparaiso, Ind., Lori Yurko of Blue Island, Ill., and Michelle Ray of Worth, Ill.; two great-granddaughters, Kristie Ray and Jordan Yurko; a sister-in-law, Catherine Larochelle; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; one daughter, Bonnie Yurko; one granddaughter, Tina Yurko; four brothers, Rene, Harvey, Patrick and Eddie Larochelle; one stepsister, Lucille Sylvestre; and one stepbrother, Maurice Sylvestre.
