LEWISTON – Maine Family Federal Credit Union recently presented the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society with a check for $700 to support pet adoption needs. The credit union coordinated a special campaign for their members to submit a pet photo in a contest, with donations benefiting the society’s shelter.
“Since Family is in our name, we extended our summer promotional campaign to include special members’ of our members’ families,” said Debra Trautman, director of marketing. “More than 100 members and Monty Moose Youth Club members displayed their pet photos in our lobbies. Members and employees really got behind supporting the Humane Society in our community,” she added.
Paw print ballots were sold during two weeks in August to vote on the cutest and best overall pet photos. Members also received cash prizes in monthly drawings by entering a pet photo. Pictures of pets were used on posters, banners and credit union advertisements.
Founded in 1938, the credit union has offices at 555 Sabattus St. in Lewiston and 831 Minot Ave. in Auburn.
