WELD – The Maine Department of Conservation and ATV Maine will hold a training session for members of Maine all-terrain vehicle clubs at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Mt. Blue State Park’s Center Hill area.

Participants are asked to bring standard brush-cutting tools, shovels and whatever else they may need to do trail work.

The day-long session will provide hands-on experience on building and maintaining environmentally friendly trails. The Department of Conservation relies on clubs to help maintain trails, and this training session will help create uniformity in trail construction and maintenance.

There is no cost for the training session. ATV Maine will provide lunch.
