1893: On Sept. 19 of that year, New Zealand became the first country in the world to grant national voting rights to women.

1869: Wyoming territorial legislature became the first “state” to grant full voting rights to women in the United States in that year.

1920: United States grants women the right to vote.

1928: Great Britain guarantees full voting rights to women.

2005: Kuwait becomes the most recent country to grant women the right to vote.
