NORWAY – Robert E. Green, 76, of Norway, died Friday, Sept. 16, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Machais, Jan. 26, 1929, the son of Norman and Dorothy Johnson West and attended schools in various areas.

He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean conflict, having served in both the Army and Navy.

“Bob” worked many years in the lumber business. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football and in his younger years coached Little League baseball.

On Nov. 15, 1996, he married Roberta Lavertu.

Survivors include his wife of Norway; three sons, Lloyd and his wife, Lorraine, Mitchell and his wife, Judy, all of Norway, and Shane and his wife, Debbie, of South Paris; a daughter, Lisa Emery and her husband, Danny, of South Paris; a stepson, Robert Lavertu and his wife, Cindy, of Oxford; seven grandchildren; and three step-grandsons.
