BANGOR – The National Association of Women Business Owners will hold its Fall Education Symposium and Luncheon from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, at the Richard E. Dyke Center for Family Business on the Husson College campus. The event is open to professionals, both men and women, in all areas of business.
Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and workshops begin at 8. The cost, which includes lunch, is $20 for NAWBO members and $40 for non-members.
Keynote speaker Laura Posey, author of “Six Secrets of Sales Magnets” and co-founder of Dancing Elephants Achievement Group, will offer her tips for attracting business and increasing sales by working smarter, not harder.
Symposium participants can also attend two of four morning workshops: Business Entities and Tax Matters; Employment Law: Hiring and Firing; The Art of Negotiation; and How Should You Spend Your Advertising Dollars? Presenters include Rudman & Winchell, LLC; Veeder & Longtin LLP, CPAs; and J Group Advertising.
