TAUNTON, Mass. – Dorothy B. Bissonnette Lafontaine, 75, of Middleboro, Mass., died on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Morton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Fernand Lafontaine; he predeceased her in 1984.

Born in Lewiston, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Maryanne (Duclos) Bissonnette.

Living in Lewiston, she moved to Middleboro, Mass., in 1954, and had been a resident since. She was employed as a nurse’s aide at the former Greenlawn Nursing Home.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Her greatest joy was being a devoted wife and mother to her family.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Lafontaine of Hull, Mass., Laurent and his wife, Jo’Anne Lafontaine, of Milton, Mass.; three daughters, Florence Metzger of Pembroke, Mass., Rachael and husband, William Dunham of Washburn, Wis., and Lorraine and husband, Lorin Motta, of Rochester, Mass.; three brothers, Roger, Donald and Normand Bissonnette, all of Lewiston; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Laurent and Yolande Bissonnette, and Theresa Losito.
