LITCHFIELD – Louise May Danforth Vannah, 72, of Huntington Hill Road, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 21, following a long illness.

She was born in Litchfield on June 29, 1933, a daughter of Chester and Cecelia Wenzell Danforth.

She loved feeding her wild birds, watching the Red Sox – never missing a game, camping, sharing coffee breaks and muffins with her sister every day, shopping and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald K. Vannah, of Litchfield; three sons, Donald K. Vannah Jr., Russell E Vannah and Darrell W. Vannah, all of Litchfield; four sisters, Rowena Ridley, Annie Getchell and Virginia Porter, all of Litchfield, and Dorothy Wright of Auburn; her brother, Chet Danforth of Litchfield; six grandchildren, Rhonda, Russell, Amanda, Donald F., and Karla and Kody Vannah; and three great-grandchildren, Donald F. Vannah Jr., Kayleigh and Taylor Vannah.

She was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Danforth.
