Bangor slot parlor could face delay

BANGOR (AP) – Penn National Gaming’s plan to open its Hollywood Slots facility in Bangor was dealt a setback when the Maine Gambling Control Board decided not to issue one of the company’s slot machine distributors a permanent license it was seeking.

The board decided not to issue a state slots distributor license for Bally Gaming and Systems because a report on the company’s financial suitability was incomplete. Financial consultants for the state said Bally had not yet filed a required year-end earnings report with the federal Securities and Exchange Commission.
