Class event

RUMFORD – Members of the Stephens High School class of 1949 will gather at the former Ames parking lot at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28. to car pool to the Howard Pond camp of Harry and Fran Burns. Bring a lunch.

Sharing group

RUMFORD – The Widows or Widowers Sharing will hold the first meeting of the season at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street. All widows and widowers are welcome.

Harvest festival

DIXFIELD – The Dixfield Congregational Church will hold a annual harvest festival from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the annex on High Street.

Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. for $4 a person with a choice of eggs or pancakes, ham or sausage, juice and coffee. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $5 a person; menu to be announced. There will be a second-hand table, baked foods, freshly picked apples, pumpkins, mums and other harvest items.

Family Night

MEXICO – Mexico First Baptist Church, 20 Roxbury Rd., announces its second Family Night to be held from 5 to 7:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, with a free meal, parenting class and children’s club.

The meal will include beef stew, biscuits and fruit salad followed by the second video session titled “Are You a Drain or a Fountain?” as it relates to showing honor in the family. Small group discussions, under the leadership of Pastor Bob Peters, will follow the presentation.

While the adults participate in their session, children grades kindergarten through six will have their own Kingdom Kids Honor Club, where the same topic as the parents will be presented through a Bible lesson, games and crafts.
