FARMINGTON – Two people face drug charges after county deputies seized an estimated 10 grams of cocaine outside the Farmington Fair on Saturday night, police said Monday.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Billian arrested Bryan E. Worthley, 32, of Rumford on charges of possession of Schedule W drugs and violation of condition of release, county Lt. Niles Yeaton said. He also arrested Tracy A. Howard, 33, of Mexico on a charge of possession of Schedule W drugs, he said.

Billian was working the demolition derby and noticed a strong odor of what is believed to have been marijuana coming from a vehicle outside the south horse gate on High Street, Yeaton said.

During a search of Worthley, Howard and the car, the deputies discovered an estimated 10 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and $500 cash, Yeaton said.

Howard was released Saturday from the county jail in Farmington on $2,000 unsecured bond. She is scheduled to appear Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 12th District Court in Farmington.

Worthley was still being held without bail as of Monday morning.
